Winter love birds

So this is my tutors roommate and his girlfriend from Korea! She is visiting until February. I have had the pleasure of meeting both of them a couple times now. They are so sweet together :3

After lessons we went to a local farmers market in the city by UofA campus. Felt more like a craft sale but still equally awesome. We also met up with another of his friends who plays in the military band. He was playing with his buddies at the market and it was so pretty. It was nice to sight see a bit.

Sorry I haven't posted in so long. Working long hours at my new job and its exhausting. Things are piling up on me and kinda stressing myself out! Need to stop it haha. Other then that I have been making plans to get myself up to schedule and speed with what I want to do versus what I feel I can do. So Regular updates should start happening soon. To be honest probably wont start till after the holidays.... Just to be safe :)

Anyways love you all!

:D

Drew a picture of my Korean tutor and my Boyfriend :D I made my tutor alittle taller but yeah haha. this was fun to do. And had an awesome day today.

First was our lessons where I think I didn't do too bad. I feel great about my knowledge and then I'm put on the spot and my head goes blank ^-^; I think I should try to think the greetings in my head when I am meeting new people etc. in my daily life to help get used to them.

My tattoo on Linda was a lot of fun! She is such a strong woman to not only sit on a table for 3 hours so I can tattoo her foot but to also go through the pain of having a tattoo on her foot! I'm digg'n her new hair cut and I think it suits her well and damn she lost weight and looks sexy! Love ya girl! <3

After had dinner with my family and had my cousin come by too for a surprise. It was awesome to see my ferret Douglas again ... I miss him dearly. And on the way home the fog was so bad I was driving like 80km/hr the whole way ! (normal 100-110) We are expected to have a snow storm at some point ... I hope it waits till after my first day at my new day job tomorrow. Well thats it for tonight.

Love you all <3

Diane re-do!

Well since Fai's was at a table I figured I should do hers at one too! lol I like this one much better. :3 I hope she does too! I have been making a lot of new contacts and friends and it's great. A lot of them are speaking to me in Korean which is helping :D

Looking forward to starting my new job tomorrow. Its really close to my house and the manager I will have is really nice and straight forward. I think we will get along well. She believes in respect for employees and management so plus plus. I need to keep this short because I have more studying to do before tomorrow.

I am also very excited to be giving my very very close friend Linda a tattoo tomorrow. She's like a sister to me and I can give her son Ethan his birthday gift finally! haha. Anyways.

Love you all <3

Fai

This was fun to draw. I really liked the picture she had up on the Penpal site that we connected on. She is learning English and a really smart girl! I really like her smile and giggle ^-^

I feel bad that I spent more time on this then the one previous so tomorrow will be a re-do of Diane. She also introduced me to a site for people interested in Korean culture and want to go and make friends. the chat is always so crazy haha.

I finally managed to get my Korean and Japanese keyboards working on my computer now which making responding to the messages a lot easier. It is hard to learn using an English keyboard though haha.

Well a few more informitive videos on YouTube and then off to bed.

Love you all <3

Sketch 64 - hello

My new/old hairstyle. Went back to this style. Wanted something quick tonight but ended spending more time on this then I had planned for. For Those wondering its Purtalic written in katakana (Japanese), then Tamakai in kanji (Japanese), my English name and then my English name in Korean.

Work today was short due to the rain. Spent a good portion of the morning playing fetch with a black Labrador that decided it was gonna be my friend. It also showed me how STUPID people can really be. We have construction ahead signs and detour signs everywhere and they drive up to me "whats going on?" "ummm . . . road construction . . . . need you to turn around and take the detour" like seriously . . . . I get a whole summer of that and "Why are you doing this road? I NEED to get to this place. Its an emergency (like registration at rabbit hill...)" oh well! Pay is great! 22 hours and its the same paycheck I got working 2 weeks at the bingo hall <3

Anyways bed time! Goodnight world. Love ya <3

Sketch 56 - Ray William Johnson

So anyone know of Ray William Johnson ? I had a request to do my favorite youtube vloggers so I decided to start with the very first one I ever started to follow! His comedy vlog =3 is frikken hilarious and fell in love just after a few episodes. It can be a tad controversial at times, so if you are easily offended this may not be for you. If he ends up seeing this I hope he likes it. I'm proud to be one of your many fans!

So new video for today. Actually I am going to post two videos because I can't deside. Aziatix released their new single, Cold, and I am addicted already. Aziatix is a group of Korean music artists who came to the USA to study and formed a group. So far they are awesome and climbing the charts fairly quick! They sing in English so for those who don't like k-pop here is a treat for you.

The second video is Jay Park's new single Tonight. I love this song. Been playing it over and over. My cousin Alex might kill me for this but I think Jay looks a LOT like him. Or the other way around. Either way they look similar. Alex is like the buffer, less skrawny version. However, I'm sure Alex isn't a B-Boy like Jay. Much love!

Today has been interesting. Managed to spend a good $400.00 today. More good and bad news from the doctors. Gave a friend some tattoo pointers. Got a few new awesome Magic the gathering cards from a visit from Brad and the new comic shop in Leduc (where the DQ used to be behind the PetroCan). Went to see my trainer and caught up abit. Then got 2 new books at Chapters for almost free from my rewards card. Just had to pay the tax lol. Speaking of taxes.... I have plans to get mine out soon! Hopefully I get a nice return like my sister.

Anyways . . . goodnight world! Back to work tomorrow. Love ya <3

R and R

Not much to say. Been doing a lot of resting yesterday and today. Trying to get better so I can go back to work. So far I have lasted the whole day without any painkillers and as long as I take things slow it isnt more then a discomfort then a pain.

I'm sorry for not posting yesterday, but blogger was having maintenance which was scheduled for only an hour and ended up being the whole day . . .
So yeah . . . Not sure if I mentioned before that I have problems speaking Korean or not, but I do. Recently, (thanks to eatyourkimchi.com) I found a website that is helping me which my pronunciation of Korean. He is a really good teacher! There a few rules that I didn't know about from teaching myself that are really helping me understand why Koreans laugh at me when I try to speak their language. Also had another Chinese lesson today. Was short. But the company I am trying to learn it with is introducing me to a new teacher seeing as my original one had to leave because his sister had passed. The one I met today was harsh and had no sense of humor. Class wasn't fun and I don't remember hardly any of it because I became uninterested. Oh well.

Anyways gonna try doing some light housework and see how much I can do without causing pain. Well goodnight world! Love ya <3

Sketch 51 - Simon, Martina and Spudgy

Simon, Martina and Spudgy from Eat Your Kimchi. I have been loving their videos. Such an amazing couple. They are Canadians who moved to Korea to teach and vloged about it every day. To me they are such an inspiration. I actually have my TESOL certificates and tried to teach in Japan. However I got turned down for all the paid teaching jobs in Japan because I had no experience and or early childhood development certification. Outside of their jobs I just love watching their videos. Martina and Simon have such wonderful personalities and make an amazing couple. Spudgy the dog is adorable in an odd way haha! Also very jealous because they got to meet almost all of my favorite kpop stars including BigBang. Man if it was me I would glomp Daesung!

So today is just the line work. Its a huge piece but I have some of the color done already so to finish for tomorrow's blog will be fast (hoping). I'm actually really proud of this. For a sketchier full sized picture it turned out great...except for Spudgy because I suck at drawing animals (forgive me!)

In other news, I'm getting nervous for Thursday. I've been getting more frequent pains in my side and its getting harder to do things without writhing in pain on the floor. It's starting to scare me and honestly I'm scared to find out exactly what it is and what the outcome and treatments will include. I have a lot planned for my future ...

Anyways! Conservatives won the election in Canada so .... nothing will change! Not so bad I suppose but whatever. Getting sleepy so Goodnight world! Love ya <3

Sketch 49 - You Wish...

... you were this pretty! I love Siberian tigers. They are amazing creatures. I was hoping to hear back from a couple I have recently fell in love with  so I could draw their picture for today but maybe it will be for tomorrow. Mind you I really shouldn't get my hopes up because they are so popular that they met almost all my favorite kpop idols (~jealous~).

Today I basically did some translations and relaxed while watching the you tube videos of the couple listed above. Also got some laundry done. Actually while typing this Richard was looking at the TRON and Daft Punk headphones that just came out by Monster. Man they look so cool! I wouldn't mind a pair (and same for him) when we can get our finances in order/ goals achieved lol.

So big news in Canada. Tomorrow (which actually in the time of posting this is today) is our Federal elections. This should be big news but really isn't to most. I'm not sure who I'm gonna vote for. Definitely not the liberals but I'm torn between the Conservatives and the NDP.  The NDP or New Democratic Party offers change but said change usually consists of raising taxes to help pay for it while the conservatives are basically just gonna work to improve what we already have. Now the way an election is won in Canada is strange. You don't necessarily win by the amount of votes. In federal elections, Canadians vote for members of parliament. The leader of the party with the most members elected (there are 308 seats) then becomes the prime minister. The current Conservative minority government has 143 seats and is headed by Prime Minister Stephen Harper.

Since we do not directly elect the prime minister, Canadians must consider the impact of our votes on multiple levels. It doesn’t take a majority to rule or to win an election in Canada. If you’ve got six candidates running, you don’t need 50 percent of the vote to win. Simply the one who has the highest percentage wins. In doing so our elections tend to take less time and are more fluid then presidential elections in the states.

Anyways that's enough of that boring talk and I am off to bed! Goodnight world! Love ya <3

Sketch 35 - Game Over

Emily again. Lol I really liked the pose for this one, although it looks way uncomfortable. Isn't she just adorable? I would love to meet her in person some day. But for now I will be happy just being her friend on the net.

I'm slowly starting to feel better which means I can get back to the gym and doing tattoos and work and stuffs lol.

So many new k-pop songs I've found. And a whole bunch of new ones coming out. SO EXCITED!!

Recently I have been getting back into playing World of Warcraft. Been working on my Goblin Shadow Priest and my Unholy Gnome Death Knight. I am loving the new Goblin quests. It feels weird though because my mains are alliance. And DK is still way OP but I am not complaining one bit because its fun to be a BAMF once in a while. I was taking down elite boss quests rated for 2-3 players in Outlands by myself. Very proud of that I must say. Although my first few attempts failed because I hadn't been to my trainer in forever and was behind like 8 skillz doh... Doing random dungeon groups is an excellent way to get some tips on how to play your class and level really fast while having the possibility to get some dungeon quests done and kick ass gear.

Well im off to bed. Goodnight world! Love ya <3

Sketch 29 - Bloodline pt 1

So working a clean art picture of the new designs for Purtalic and Nynde. Today is the sketch, tomorrow will be the clean line art and possibly the base colors and then Wednesday will be the shaded finished copy. Hope you all don't mind the character spam. No one has mentioned a dislike as of yet so I will continue. Plans have been in the works for MBJ and I to have a weekend get-together at some point soon to work on the story and smooth out the rough edges that we weren't able to do when we wrote it originally. I cannot tell you how much I am gonna look forward to that. been ages since I had the chance to spend any quality time with her since like 2007. Sad but true with our schedules and the distance between us.

Soooo being Canadian I do actually like hockey. Not a HUGE fan or anything but its nice to know my team is doing AMAZING. GO VANCOUVER GO! Playoffs start soon and I would love to see them win the Stanley Cup. I find it funny though. Even though I cheer for a 'Canadian' team, most of the players are American. Because the American teams buy up the good Canadian players for their teams. So I like to cheer for a Canadian team ... but which is actually more Canadian?

In other news Big Bang released their new V.I.P. Special edition album with some new songs and a solo song from Daesung (my favorite of the group) ... FINALLY. I have been waiting for Daesung to have his turn for his solo debut. All the other members have had whole albums out already. Well not sure is Senguri has had one yet but I wouldn't be surprised. However, Daesung has been in the back most of the Big Bang career and its saddening because he has such a powerful voice with great range. Finally glad to see some D-lite action. Hopefully a video will surface soon so I can translate it <3

Well I should get going to tonight. I have books to read, blankets to knit, pictures to finish and a pageview wallpaper to work on! (not in any specific order) Goodnight world! Love ya <3

Donations for Japan ~$168/$500

P.S. As a reminder I am ending the donation pool at Easter. We have until then to raise $500 to see me sing a Japanese song. Also I will be sending a sort of fan-mail box to Japan with letters and pictures to help raise moral. If anyone wishes to send a letter to brighten up a families life or a picture or both feel free to mail them to me and I will post them with my box. I will be sending the box at the end of April so make sure they get here by the 28th.

Sketch 22 - Tied Destiny

Ryona. The Daughter of Metablue and a human sire. Because of her Elvaan blood, she ages slowly and has well surpassed her fathers life span. Orphaned as a child, Ryona grew up not knowing of her heritage or of her royal blood until a crush on a forbidden love opens her world to new possibilities.

So much fun re-doing her outfit. Much more suited to a warrior half elf that makes her a bit more 'squishy' than the full bloods. Still a sexy outfit if I may say so. I wanted to give her long hair but the short really suits her best. Plus long hair gets in the way when your trying to swing a sword. I would love to see this made into a real costume... would be so awesome. Tomorrow will be the last of my character draws unless someone wants me to get into all the secondary characters and bad guys.... I do have a request for Wednesday's however.

On another note, trying to fit 11-13 people in a wallpaper picture is sooooo hard. But I will get it done eventually. Anyone that knows me will probably expect me to not even have it done before I hit the 1000 mark (the rate Im going that wont be too far off). Much love to all my readers/watchers out there. Seeing all my views from around the world makes this so much easier.

Last night my cousin and I were to lazy to clean off the spare bed so we share my double... with the 2 Jack Russel Terriers.... I got like NO sleep last night. Then up for a shower and then to the gym where my training was re-scheduled because of a power failure. Also posted a new video of the week that's English for once. Been so tired today it is unreal. Happy to have the sketch done today and it looks great. I think that will be all for today's so goodnight world. Love ya <3

Sketch 1 - The first of many

Welcome to my blog!

First I want to thank my friend Mikaela for choosing my title! I love it. Anyways ... HELLO OUT THERE!!! Haha.

The Picture: Well its the first sketch of my first blog so went with drawing myself blogging... Yes i dye my hair green and I have an Alienware mx17 laptop and a WACOM Intuos 3 tablet for those who were wondering.

Why: I started this blog because like a few people I start things with passion and then fail to finish or continue.... maybe I have ADD? So I chose to start doing a sketch a day and blog about it. The theory behind my madness is that if I want to become a tattoo artist and work on a manga I need to be able to draw every day. Plus having to do it everyday forces me into a habit and therefore seeing my comic come back to life. It will also allow others like yourself to give me criticism on my art (good or bad!) so I can improve and log my improvements over the net. I'm hoping to improve my style, gain confidence, reliability and stability in my art.

I will also post stories or events that happen everyday as a life blog so it wont be all art biased. I play video games and listen to j-pop and k-pop ... although im more of a k-pop fan (BigBang FTW). I like anime and fantasy/horror novels. We will keep it kinda short for tonight so until tomorrow, I bid thee farewell!
