Games and Self Worth

So to try and get away from how nasty the world can be sometimes, I play video games. As anyone who knows me, I like fantasy. Final Fantasy. And what better game then one with a whole bunch of other people who love FF playing together and making memories! Above is a quick sketch of my Scholar (healer). I was a TaruTaru/Lalafell (midget) before but Mithra/Miquote (cat girl) are easier to cosplay (dress up) later on.

I have come to love this character and all the stuff I have accomplished with her. I may color and finish it later but for now I like it as a sketch. I am also impressed with how my art style is changing for the better it seems. I can still do a total anime style if I like but still working on the realistic side. However, I feel I am heading in the right direction.

Not being in a relationship has its good and bad points I suppose. I give 100% when in one I am happy in which leaves not a lot left for myself but I make it work. When I am single I am depressed but tend to focus on myself more. Win/loose.

It has been awhile since drawing something I really like instead of tattoo art. It was nice. I wish more people accepted digital drawn art. I show my work to people and they ask how I did it and when I say Photoshop they assume its just manipulation. NO, I have a drawing tablet and instead of cutting down trees and using a ton of supplies, I have it all free, in front of me on a easier to use and better for my hands and wrist digital format. Mistakes are easier to fix and no longer mean that an almost finished painting gets water on it and ruins it. Don't get me wrong, I love traditional art as well. I like the look of it better to be honest, But from a talent point of view, I see no difference.

Sketch 75 - My Magic

Felt like drawing my character Purtalic. Really miss my friend MBJ. I have been trying to get a hold of her for a while now. I guess she must be busy. Today was a sort of relaxing day. Company came over and things got a tad lively. Not much to say. In a drawing mood and a gaming mood but with company over its extremely hard to do either.... Not looking forward to my imminent death tomorrow. I have to work 8 hours tomorrow and Sunday. Yesterday I worked 3 hours and was in extreme pain, because they cant just let me work the counter. Its stocking and magazines and bending and just everything to make my side turn into an inferno. So wanted to draw something soothing.

Not sure what I will do for the rest of the night. Have a major headache from the dogs not listening and not in the mood to socialize. Also getting depressed lately. Feel horrible about myself, for things that are happening. Too much thinking and worrying and I am bringing myself down. I have friends in trouble and I don't know how to help them.

Sketch 25 - The Underdome Riot

Mad Moxxi's Underdome Riot is the second piece of DLC for Borderlands. It features three new riot arenas (Hellburbia, the Gully and Angelic Ruins) and storage for players' items. The plot of the DLC is Moxxi, a crazed lover who is setting out to find her 4th husband, leading her to make the arenas in the DLC. Players fight several of the game's enemies, including bosses, in arenas. No experience is gained from killing enemies in the arena battles, but experience can be gained from completing challenges or quests in the arena. New game modes are added, such as low gravity fighting, enemy health regeneration, and shieldless fighting. It was released on December 29, 2009, for the Xbox 360 and was released January 7, 2010, for the PlayStation 3 and PC. IGN gave Mad Moxxi's Underdome Riot a 6.0/10, praising the fact that friends can be added in to play, and stated that everything else needed work. "There's no more gun, money, or ammo drops, and no XP" and stated that "the only decent amount of guns you'll find are in Marcus Kincaid's vendor machine."

Info courtesy of wikipedia. I personally love Borderlands. Its a FPS RPG which is nice. not all just run in and shoot people. You have an awesome story and quests/missions that are challenging and make your heart race (mine did at least!) Too bad steam is still being dumbass's and hasn't fixed my account yet so I haven't been able to play. Also for some reason Moxxi's outfit reminds me of a FFXI PUP AF1 sorta haha. I miss my puppet Totomo <3 Anyways.

Oh! I would be honored if everyone could sign the petition to SAVE PALAWAN which is in danger of being destroyed by miners. It's free to sign up and all they need is your name, e-mail and country. That is hardly classified info unless your under protective custody. So please help save the rain forests in Palawan! They need 10 million signatures and have over 600k at the moment. On another note apparently this place is so remote that the name Palawan isn't even in the spell-check... wow.
